We believe it is important that everyone knows how to preform basic maintenance and repair on their own bicycle. Being able to fix your own flat tire or minor mechanical issue can save you tons of time and trouble if something should happen to your bike while you are out on the trail or the road. This is why we offer a series of FREE clinics to give you the confidence to ride anywhere you want and the knowledge to make the most out of your cycling experience.
Flat Fixing 101
Taught the first Thursday of every month from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Introductory course that teaches the basics of flat tire repair. After completing this course, you will be able to successfully change a flat tire on your own! Concepts include: tire removal, determining the cause of the flat, tire and tube installation, and proper tire pressure inflation.
Please bring your own bicycle wheel, air pump, and tire levers.
Basic Bicycle Maintenance 101
This is a series of three courses once a month taught from October through December covering different topics of basic bicycle maintenance and repair. Taught by Genesis tech Jimmy Madden, these courses will leave you with the skills and confidence to properly maintain your bike and increase the lifespan of its components! The three courses focus on the following topics:

-Brakes Maintenance and Adjustment (December)
Shifting 101: The Gears Are Your Friends
This is an introductory course on the basics of gear shifting. After completing this course, you will gain an understanding of how your gears work and how to properly shift your bike's gears. Properly shifting gears will allow you to ride more efficiently and mroe comfortably and make the most out of your ride!
